Privacy

Account data. When you sign up we store your email address and, for password accounts, a bcrypt hash of your password — never the password itself. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and Google account identifier from Google; we never see your Google password.

Your videos. When you upload a file or paste a link, we download and process that video to find clips. This includes the source media, the generated transcript, and the rendered clips.

Usage.We keep basic operational records — when you signed in, how much of your processing quota you've used — so the product works and we can spot abuse.

We use your video and transcript to run the clip-finding pipeline: transcription, AI analysis, and rendering. We use your account and usage data to operate your account, enforce quotas, and provide support.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your private video content to train third-party models.

Clip discovery and captioning are powered by large language models, including the Anthropic API. Your transcript and, if you switch on visual analysis, sampled frames are sent to that provider solely to generate your results. Anthropic does not train its models on data sent through its API.

Transcription — turning speech into text — sends the audio track extracted from your video to a speech-to-text provider. We currently use DeepInfra, and fall back to Groq or to transcription on our own servers if it is unavailable. The audio is used only to produce your transcript.

In full, the companies that may receive your data are: Anthropic (the text of your transcript, to choose clips), DeepInfra and Groq (the audio track, to transcribe it), our hosting provider (everything, as it stores and serves the files), Stripe (your payment details — we never see your card), and our email provider (your address, for sign-in and account mail). We will update this list when it changes.

Processed videos and clips are stored on a tier-based schedule, not forever — keeping your source media around indefinitely is a cost and a liability we'd rather not carry:

• Clipper: a rolling 7-day library.
• Creator: a rolling 7-day library.
• Studio: about one month.

A background job removes media past its window. Your account record persists until you delete your account.

You can delete a video from your library at any time — the delete control is on each video's card — which removes its media, its clips and its exports from our storage. To delete your account and everything associated with it, email us and we'll take care of it.
